Hey Darren, couldn't help but notice the resemblance of you and Tom Brady, QB from the Patriots. I saw him in an interview on TV and thought, hmmm, that looks like Darren without the glasses.
Anyways, just wanted to let you know how much I still enjoy the podcasts(btw, they look and sound really professional nowadays)
Also, I noticed you're using what looks like the Shure SM57s on your snare and toms. Everything sounds incredible. If that is the case, how do you like them? I recently purchased an SM57 for my snare and a PG81 overhead. I'm still using the CAD tom and kick mics. And, what kind of kick mic are you using? Beta52? Thanks for all you do and God bless!

Hey Stan da Man: Yes, I've had several people make the comment that they think I look like Tom Brady. Then it's usually followed by some comment about the fact that I don't have his millions. Then I say, "Mo money, mo problems." Thanks for watching the podcast. I'm glad you still enjoy them! My mics are: Shure SM57s on toms and snare. Audio Technica ATM25 on kick. AKG C1000S overheads. I like the sound of the 57s, but they're a bit hard to place because of their size. I'd like to find some smaller mics at some point. Thanks again! Darren

Hey Darren. You're right; the 57s are a bit cumbersome. You may already know this but LP makes a very handy and useful universal snare, or tom for that matter, mic clip. It can be adjusted in several ways and has an 'L' rod arm that you can maneuver any way you need. It's very inconspicuous. Just thought I'd share that. God bless
