Welcome to drumcast.tv - Drum lesson video podcast with South Dakota drummer Darren Matthes
I've been posting drum lessons online since 2006. It's been great to be able to share my thoughts on drumming and learn from everyone who watches the drum lessons, sends e-mails, leaves comments and calls my voicemail number.
I've been teaching drums part-time from my home in Sioux Falls, S.D., since 2003, and I've been playing drums for more than 25 years.

My approach to drumming is based on constant experimentation and refinement. I believe it is important to approach music and our skills with humility, realizing there will always be something more to learn and experience. That’s one of the things that makes it fun! It's my hope that if you study drums and drumming, you will encounter many things that inspire you. And I hope you can use your gifts and talents to inspire others, too!
